Welcome to the CITY INVESTING COMPANY LIQUIDATING TRUST database.
The Trust ceased doing business and was dissolved on
April 18, 2006. The Units of Beneficial Interest ceased trading on
March 31, 2006, the record date of the final distribution. After March
31, 2006, the outstanding certificates which represented Units of
Beneficial interest in the Trust and formerly represented shares of
Common Stock of City Investing Company have no value.
Since the Trust was created, the Trustees'
objectives had been to maximize the return to Unit Holders by resolving
legal claims and reducing to cash the Trust's remaining non-liquid
assets as efficaciously as possible. With the final cash distribution,
the Trust will have distributed to original Unit Holders who held their
Units through March 31, 2006, approximately $9.45 per Unit in cash and
stock.
